Great first @OAENightShift at @CamdenAssembly. @LuiseBuchberger wants you to guess what we played from her glasses! https://t.co/Xte5CRStLg
Here at the OAE offices, the excitement is building and the tension is mounting.
Letters have gone out, social media and enewsletters are at the ready – and we are counting down the days: just over a week to go…
Well, the OAE is one of 300 charities that have been selected for the Big Give Christmas Challenge. This is a real opportunity for the Orchestra to raise significant funds to realise one of our key recording projects for 2013: a definitive interpretation of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons with Kati Debretzeni as both director and soloist.
But to take advantage of this opportunity, we need your help (this is where the mounting tension bit comes in).
Donations of any size from £5 to £5000 made online via the Big Give Christmas Challenge website from 10am on Thursday 6, Friday 7 & Saturday 8 December could be matched by the Big Give making your gift worth twice as much – at no extra cost to you. So, if you have ever considered making a donation to the OAE, there’s simply no better time than these three days in December!
We’re asking you to log on at 10am or soon after on 6, 7 or 8 December to make your donation, as matching funds are limited each day and funds can run out by the middle of the day. It’s a race against the clock and we can’t do it without you!
We hope to raise over £10,000 over three days (which, with matching funding, will help us to achieve our target of £20,298) – and of course, your donation will mean that all that activity and worry will have been worthwhile. Thank you so much from all of us!
Double your donation: Donate to the OAE online from 10am on 6, 7 or 8 December
