Cameron Carpenter gets locked up/swears at photo of self
A couple of weeks ago Cameron Carpenter aka ‘the bad boy of the organ world’ came over from Berlin and got detained at Birmingham airport. He was told he wasn’t allowed into the country, then stuck in a cell for seven hours, before being escorted by an armed guard onto the first plane back to Germany. He then had to get on another plane back to the UK and perform in a concert without having slept or rehearsed. His response was to post this on Facebook with the caption “I got your majesty’s service right here, pal.”
Treating a human like this is wrong. Unless Birmingham Airport staff did it because they’d seen this video. In which case it’s totally justified.
