Consider yourself a bit of a Purcell whizz? See if you knew all of these facts about one of our favourite composers… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Yes, it’s that time of year again, when we turn to you, our trusted audience, to help us name one of our concerts. As you may well know we give each of our London concerts a title, as a way of summing it up and to give the event some ‘personality’. Sometimes these titles are simply factual, sometimes they point to some interesting facts, sometimes they’re a little irreverent or quirky…

Anyway, as you may know, Orchestras work quite far ahead in their planning, so despite the fact that we have only just started out 2012-2013 season of concerts we’re already putting together our 2013-2014 season. So we need your help now to help us find an attention-grabbing title for this concert:

Mendelssohn Overture, A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Berlioz Nuits d’ete
Berlioz King Lear Overture
Mendelssohn Symphony No.5, Reformation

So…get your thinking caps on. Suggestions have to be in by Friday 19 October at 10am and our favourites will then be put to a public vote. Whoever wins will receive two tickets to the concert above.

Happy creative writing!
