Losing my health.

What – or where – is perfection?
Having been in France for the last two months, perfection was spending Christmas at home with my lovely family.
Who is your favourite hero from fiction (book/comic/film/opera) – and why?
Mr Micawber from David Copperfield. For his good humour and unbridled optimism in the face of disaster.
Which living person do you most admire (and why)?
Stephen Fry. He makes me laugh, and I admire his huge intellect and erudition.
What other talent or skill would you like to possess?
The ability to do nothing without feeling guilty.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Try to enjoy the present.

What’s the best thing about playing with the OAE?
Performing with such stylish and honed musicians. It’s very humbling.
