On 23 April, the OAE return to the warm ambience of The Amersham Arms for another pub edition of The Night Shift. We’ll be crushing the rules of classical music like a handful of crisps for a classical event where audiences can drink, chat and clap when they want.
Featuring baroque A-Listers Handel, Purcell and Biber, it’s a rare opportunity to hear some of the world’s greatest composers, played by top performers, in a relaxed pub atmosphere. Presented by James Redwood, our musicians will also be improvising a new piece inspired by the music of the evening. There’ll even be a few drinking songs to finish the night off.
