Just delivered - world premiere, first edition. https://t.co/pE2HVgX9Is
Hi there authors, poets and playwrights. We want you to enter a writing competition on the theme of forgiveness to accompany The Judas Passion, a new piece of classical music by composer Sally Beamish and British poet, David Harsent.
If your entry is selected, it will be published in a special anthology, All Words for Forgiveness, at the UK Premiere of The Judas Passion. There’ll also be prizes for our favourite pieces: first prize of £150, second prize of £100, third prize of £50 and 3 runners up at £25 each. The competition is open to all pupils in school years 7–13 and their teachers.
Your writing can take any form, and you interpret the theme in any way you want. For example, you might want to think about:
What does it mean to forgive?
What does it mean to be forgiven?
Are some things unforgivable?
Is forgiving others good for you?
Send your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org by 15 July 2017.
Young people’s entries should be made by a supervising teacher and all entries should include the writer’s name, school year (if applicable) and contact details for the school and teacher. There will also be a teachers prize of £150 for the outstanding entry from a member of teaching staff.
