Covid-19 response

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of the cancellation of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment's concerts due to take place until 12 April, with immediate effect. This follows the latest government advice relating to the containment of the Coronavirus. We are devastated that we will not see our audiences in person over the coming weeks, but the health and safety of our audiences, players and staff is our main priority.

Anyone that has booked a ticket for any of our cancelled concerts is entitled to a refund or credit voucher. However, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment depends on the generosity of our loyal supporters. As the upcoming months remain uncertain, we are asking everyone to whom it is possible to please consider donating the value of your ticket to support the Orchestra during this difficult time. If you would like to make a separate donation to the Orchestra, you can do so here.

Thank you again for supporting the OAE and for reminding us why it is more important than ever to keep the spirit of music alive.

Cancellation of our concerts presents a huge financial challenge to the Orchestra, and the long-term impact of the loss of ticket income is of great concern to us all. We are determined to do everything we can to survive this crisis and to support our incredibly talented musicians. We are working on new digital content with our players, and we look forward to sharing these projects with you in due course.

Our thoughts are with everyone who is being affected by this situation, to you and your loved ones.
