Rising Stars Scheme Application deadline 9 December 2022 | 5pm

Our Rising Stars of the Enlightenment singers scheme for talented, emerging artists is now open for applications for 2023 – 25. Launched in 2017 we take on up to eight singers for each cohort on a two year long programme in which our Rising Stars perform regularly with the Orchestra on both the national and international stage. The Rising Stars play a central role in our Bach, the Universe and Everything series; a non-traditional Sunday Service that mixes Bach’s cosmic music with talks on science and mathematics. Taking on Bach’s notoriously challenging cantatas, the Stars will sing some of Bach’s trickiest works at Kings Place in London. In the last 18 months, members of the OAE Rising Stars scheme have been a part of our film series where we present great arias with inspiration from iconic pop videos of the past (links below).
