Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions of sale apply to tickets sold by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) box office and not to tickets sold by other vendors or external sites we link to from this website. Tickets sold by other vendors may be subject to different terms and conditions so please refer to the original point of sale for details.

General
It is your responsibility to ensure that the seats booked are appropriate for you and/or your party attending as it may not always be possible for us to modify bookings.

It is your responsibility to check that any tickets issued to you are accurate.

Ticket holders consent to the recording and filming of themselves as members of the audience for marketing purposes.


Pricing and Payments
For all online ticket bookings via our website, we accept Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards. We do not accept American Express, gift vouchers or theatre tokens.


Refunds and Exchanges
The terms for refunds and exchanges of tickets vary depending on our contract agreement with the venue and/or promoter. The terms for refunds and exchanges listed below are intended as a guide. Please refer to the original promoter or point of sale for details.

Southbank Centre
Tickets purchased for concerts held at the Southbank Centre are non-refundable and cannot be re-sold. No refunds will be issued for any change(s) of artist(s). Tickets will only be refunded if a performance is cancelled.

Tickets may be exchanged for another concert within our Southbank Centre season, subject to availability, provided that the original tickets are posted back to our office (address below) at least two working days before the concert date. Exchanges for concerts at any other venues are subject to the promoter’s own policies.

The Night Shift
Tickets are non-refundable but may be exchanged for another performance in The Night Shift series.

Supporters’ events
If you are a donor and would like to request a refund for a supporters’ event, such as Dining Club, post-concert reception or Friends’ trip, please email our development department.

Other concerts and events
Tickets for OAE concerts which are not purchased through our website will be subject to the conditions of sale of the vendor.

The accessibility information provided below is intended as a guide. If you have specific access questions, please contact the concert venue.

Southbank Centre
Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall and Royal Festival Hall are fully accessible. For more detailed information, please visit their dedicated access page.

The Night Shift
The Night Shift series is venue dependent, and seating is often limited. Please check the access information on the venue page before booking your ticket. If you require any further information, please email us or call 020 8159 9322.

Supporters’ events
Our supporters’ events take place in multiple venues with different levels of access. Please contact the development team or visit the venue’s website for detailed access information. Also, if you have any specific dietary requirements, please make us aware by contacting development@oae.co.uk.

Pre-concert talks
Pre-concert talks generally take place one hour before the start time of the concert for our Southbank Centre series. These talks are free and do not require a ticket.
Please check the concert event pages for more details, including the location of the pre-concert talk.


Ticket delivery/collection

Southbank Centre
We do not charge a booking fee for bookings made over the phone or on our website.
We issue e-tickets for all our events at the Southbank Centre. You will receive your e-tickets in a separate email one week before the event (or almost immediately if the event is in less than a week). They will be sent to the same email that you used to make your booking; if you cannot find the e-ticket email in your inbox please check your junk folder or quarantined messages in the first instance, then email us at boxoffice@oae.co.uk
If your tickets have been misplaced, please email the OAE box office or contact us on 020 8159 9322.

Supporters’ Events and The Night Shift 
Although we do not print physical tickets for these events, we do run a guest list on the door, so please bring a copy of your booking confirmation email to gain admission.


Admission

Admission for latecomers is not guaranteed although offered where possible.
Both our organisation and the performance venues reserve the right to refuse admission.
The Southbank Centre does not admit babes in arms to our season concerts. This does not apply to our OAE TOTS concerts and other education events.
The Night Shift events take place in pubs across London and may not be suitable for children. If you do have children in your party, please check the event page and venue website or contact our box office at for more information before you purchase your ticket.


Memberships

Subject to your statutory right to cancel, membership fees for both Friends and Patrons are non-refundable. You are not entitled to cancel or terminate before the expiry of the membership period.
If you sign up as a new Friend or Patron of the OAE, you will receive a welcome email within two weeks of our receiving your donation. If you do not receive it, please email our development department.
