Sun 23 Jul – Sat 26 Aug 2023 Lewes, GlyndebourneOur second production at Glyndebourne. Award-winning director Adele Thomas makes her Glyndebourne debut with the festival’s first-ever staging of Semele and period specialist Václav Luks conducts an exciting young cast.
Die Zauberflöte
Sat 18 May – Sun 21 Jul Lewes, GlyndebourneThe first of our two appearances at Glyndebourne this year. Franco-Canadian director-designer duo Barbe & Doucet directs Glyndebourne’s returning opera Die Zauberflöte and German conductor Constantin Trinks makes his Festival debut with an exciting young cast.
Giulio Cesare
Sun 23 Jun – Fri 23 Aug Lewes, GlyndebourneOur second production at Glyndebourne. Renowned Handel specialist Lawrence Cummings returns to Glyndebourne to conduct Giulio Cesare and is joined by soprano Louise Alder as Cleopatra with American countertenor Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen as Giulio Cesare.
