Our first Bach, the Universe and Everything in Bristol is a bumper double header, with two talks looking up into the night sky to explore distant worlds and how one day we might reach them.

The guest speakers are Professor Tara Shears, who explains why Antimatter Matters. Then space scientist Dr Suzie Imber, who won BBC2’s Astronauts, Do You Have What It Takes? joins us to discuss How We Leave The Planet.

The concert’s music is built around two of Bach’s finest cantatas, the sacred vocal music he wrote almost every month for the churches where he worked.

With inspirational readings and additional music from Bach’s contemporaries, it’s a place where you can bond with music lovers and unravel the mysteries of our universe.
