A collaboration between the OAE, pioneering light artists Squidsoup and the Southbank Centre's Concrete Voids sound system turning the Queen Elizabeth Hall into a living, breathing, epic three-dimensional instrument.

The harpsichordist joins us for a programme where three composers find inspiration from the past. Jean Rondeau takes centre stage in Poulenc’s bracing Concert champêtre. Written for pioneering harpsichordist Wanda Landowska, it sets an instrument associated with the Baroque against a modern orchestra, mixing courtly grace and nostalgia with bold colours and irreverent humour.
