Sit on the stage with the Orchestra and conductor Václav Luks as we rehearse The Creation.
May 1791, a 60-year-old Haydn sat in Westminster Abbey and was struck by Handel’s Messiah. These oratorios opened a whole new landscape for Haydn and the result was The Creation. So powerful in its joy, the work was celebrated by many and even banned from the Catholic Church. Join us for this jubilant moment at Fairfields Halls for a unique sit-in rehearsal.
The OAE’s 40th anniversary seasons in 2025/26 and 2026/27 are made possible with the support of The Forty Circle.
