Tea with Netty #24: Bass Matthew Rose

Netty puts the kettle on with bass Matthew Rose.

Matthew Rose is an extremely versatile bass opera-singer, with an enormous repertoire from Monteverdi to Wagner, and beyond. He appears all over the world, but when in the UK can be found either on a golf-course, or in the audience of concert halls.

In this episode of Tea with Netty, he divulges his musical philosophy to Netty as well as providing insight into the world of opera from the stage.

Tea with Netty is the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment’s podcast hosted by viola player Annette Isserlis (Netty). Over a cuppa (or something a little stronger…), Netty chats with a variety of conductors, players and other guests as she ‘spills the tea’ on the side of classical music you don’t normally hear.
