A Journey Through Baroque at Saffron Hall

Julia Bullock brings the vocal fireworks to an evening celebrating the Greatest Hits of the 18th Century with a performance at Saffron Walden.

You might already know the answers to these trivia questions, but if you don’t you almost certainly know the tunes. How did it come to be this way? Why are these tunes still everywhere today – from ringtones to soundtracks? And… are they over-rated?*

Baroquebusters is a fun and informative way to introduce these classics to friends and family as soprano Julia Bullock (pictured above) and the musicians of the OAE guide you through why they love this music. Expect firecracker performances and earworms.

Presented from the stage, music to be performed includes impassioned laments from Purcell and Strozzi. They are intertwined with orchestral interludes, including ‘Spring’ from The Four Seasons.
