Rising Stars Sessions: The Showcase

Catch our new Rising Stars in action.

Meet Sofia Kirwan-Baez (soprano), Angharad Rowlands (mezzo-soprano), Hugo Brady (tenor) and Peter Edge (baritone), who were chosen from a field of over 100 singers to be our next cohort of Rising Stars of the Enlightenment. Over the next two seasons they will appear regularly with the Orchestra as part of our Bach, the Universe and Everything series at Kings Place and as soloists at the Southbank Centre and on tour.

In this evening’s recital they will perform arias from several of Handel’s operas and oratorios with an ensemble of musicians from the OAE directed by Steven Devine.

About the Rising Stars Sessions

The Rising Stars Sessions present past and current members of our Rising Stars of the Enlightenment scheme in intimate recitals in the Grade II listed Assembly Hall at our home in Acland Burghley School. The production of the evening will be supported by our Dreamchasing Young Producers.

There are two ticket price choices for the Rising Stars Sessions. Our suggested price is £15 or you can ‘pay what you choose’ by entering your amount (with an £8 minimum up to as much as you like!).

There will be a bar serving wine and soft drinks.
