To give you an idea of what’s in store at our concert on 23 March we’ve put together this playlist featuring selections from Fanny’s Das Jahr cycle for piano as well as the Romanze from her String Quartet in E flat and her only known surviving orchestral piece, the Overture in C (both of which will also be on the concert programme). From the very first bars of the Overture you get a sense of Fanny’s mercurial touch as a composer.
