Henry Tong first played violin with OAE as part of our Experience Scheme in 2011 and was then appointed as an official member in 2018.
Born in Taiwan in 1991, Henry moved to the UK to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is a passionate chamber musician with a keen interest in historical performance, which is why he fits so well.
In 2017, Henry received an Artist Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music, where he specialised in Historically Informed Performance in the 18th and 19th centuries, under the guidance of Margaret Faultless, Pavlo Beznosiuk and Carole Cerasi.
